Scope and Content
Item is a photograph of the public and local dignitaries at a tree planting ceremony in which the Scouts from St. Stephen's Church planted a flowering tree at Municipal Hall to honour and replace the 17th Street Chestnut trees which were planted by the West Vancouver Scouts in 1935. Individuals depicted are, from left to right: [unknown], Kay Dickinson, Councillor Pamela Goldsmith-Jones, Councillor Rod Day, Councillor John Clark and Scouts Sam Mok, Matthew McRobert and Malcolm MacKenzie. Kay Dickinson attended the ceremony as the representative of her husband Bill Dickinson, who was one of the original Scouts involved in the tree planting campaign in 1935.
