- File consists of documents and photographs relating to the Navvy Jack Thomas house, located at 1768 Argyle Avenue. The file was created and compiled in support of the creation of the West Vancouver Heritage Inventory. Built in 1873, this is likely the oldest continuously-occupied house in the province. It was built by early resident John “Navvy Jack” Thomas, and was later bought in an auction by the Lawson family, who lived there from 1907 to 1928. The home has undergone significant renovations and was re-located from its original location slightly east and further from the water than its present location.
