- The file consists of five notebooks used by Hugh A. Hodgson in the course of his work as an architect in Liverpool, England and Vancouver, Canada. Four notebooks contain sketches and notes about the Maywood Home in Vancouver, a Theatre in Prince George and various churches in Vancouver and on the North Shore including, St. John's; St. Thomas; St. Chad's; St. Stephen's; St. James; All Saints; St. Helen's; St. Margaret's; St. Albans; Saint Lukes; Lutheran Church and Jehova Witness Hall. The remaining notebook contains sketches and notes relating to building design and construction, and was created during Hugh's employment in the Drawing Office of the City Engineers Department in Liverpool, England.
