- File consists of documents and newspaper clippings pertaining to Patricia A. Boname (1933-2008). Boname was the first female mayor of West Vancouver. She was elected to the West Vancouver School Board in 1984, and served as Councillor from 1984 to 1996, and Mayor from 1997 to 1999 when she was defeated by Ron Wood. Freedom of the Municipality was conferred on Boname shortly before her death in 2008. The records document her comments on issues addressed during her terms on Council, her election to the position of Mayor, commentaries on her leadership, and subsequent defeat in the 1999 Mayoral election.
