- A small island immediately west of Eagle Island at the entrance to Fishermans Cove.
- Origin Note
- 'Abode Islands' was officially adopted as the name for both the small island, which currently bears this name, and the larger, neighbouring, Eagle Island in 1929, in order to distinguish them from other islands bearing this name. The name 'Abode' referred to the numerous small summer cottages built on the two islands. Local usage, however, continued to refer to the large island as 'Eagle Island' and the name was officially changed back to 'Eagle Island' in 1949, in recognition of this entrenched local usage. The name 'Abode Island', singular, became restricted to the smaller island immediatley west of Eagle Island.
