- File consists of documents, photographs and architectural drawings relating to Inglewood School located at 1735 Inglewood Avenue. The school was built in 1927. The building, designed by architect Hugh Hodgson, was the first purpose-built high school building in West Vancouver. After West Vancouver Senior High opened on Mathers Avenue in 1952, the Inglewood building became the Junior High. In 1962, Inglewood Junior High School and West Vancouver High School merged to form West Vancouver Secondary School with classes being held in both the Mathers and Inglewood buildings. The Inglewood building was closed as a school in 1978 and was subsequently used by the YMCA. It was demolished in 1995. The file was created and compiled in support of the creation of the West Vancouver Heritage Inventory. The file includes microfiche copies of two architectural drawings: 1. Additional Accommodation Industrial Arts [West] Wing, Sharp & Thompson, Berwick, Pratt, July 1947; 2. Proposed Addition to W.V.H.S. Auditorium, R.R.H. Beaumont, June 1950.
